Bricklayer

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

We are looking for a bricklayer to complete a project in the Hotel and the responsibilities will include laying bricks, concrete blocks, stone and other similar materials to construct or repair walls, arches fireplaces and other structures in accordance with blueprints and specifications

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:

- Matric or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience as a bricklayer
- Ability to work without supervision
- Have the ability to handle a pressurised environment
- Must be able to work shifts and weekends

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Various tasks including pointing, internal block work, working with lime mortar, insert as required e.g., laying Flemish bond.
- Undertaking checking/assessing when directed
- Help to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety.
- Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements and within agreed time limits.
- Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety.
- Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work.
- Contribute to those of the team.
- Contribute towards the smooth running of the team.
- Adhere to all organization policies and procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of discipline and adherence to company procedures and required safety standards
