**JOB PURPOSE**:
This is a support role to the Pepkor supply chain. It is focused on the analysis, design and implementation of processes of both Pepkor Logistics and its customers. The key objective being perfect order fulfilment for our customers while achieving departmental and company goals.

**QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE**:

- Relevant degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics
- At least 5 years related experience, preferably 10 years related experience
- Experience in a logistics or retail environment
- Experience in a project environment
- Experience in business process re-engineering
- Knowledge of supply chain management systems e.g. distribution transaction systems, warehouse management systems, planning systems
- Knowledge of technical equipment e.g. conveyors, sorters, dimensioners
- Valid Driver’s Licence with own transport
- Advanced MS Office Skills, particularly Excel, Word and Visio

**RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES**:

- Manage, and participate in, a team of consultants responsible for hub-related improvements in terms of processes, standard operating procedures as well as technical and operational equipment
- Manage the day-day responsibilities and administration of the team of consultants
- Ensure the sufficient definition, analysis, planning, implementation and control of hub network expansion projects and other operational efficiency projects
- Maintain and drive the projects and hub improvements backlogs
- Maintain and drive the documentation of in-hub processes and standard operating procedures, as a component of the broader Pepkor Logistics’ processes and standard operating procedures
- Ensure the sufficient definition, analysis, planning, implementation and control of hub technical equipment projects e.g. Sorters, Dimensioners, Conveyors
- Ensure the efficient and effective analysis and sourcing of Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) for the hub network
- Own and maintain the Pepkor Logistics Network Capacity Model

**GENERAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Analytical process and systems thinking essential
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Self-starter willing to show initiative and approach tasks with a “hands-on” attitude
- Ability to thrive under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to function within various different teams and environments, but also work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to travel
