Driver/packer

Requirements and key responsibilities:

- 5 years driving experience with code 10 and 14 with PDP.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years working with furniture experience.
- Education: Matric or matric equivalent (NCV L4) is essential.
- Driver's Licence: valid Code 10/14 driver's licence and valid PDP, long distance driving will be advantageous.
- Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all road laws, speed limits and correct gear usage.
- Maintain the vehicle in good condition, ensuring it is clean, fueled and ready for operations.
- Demonstrate trustworthiness and reliability in all aspects of the job.
- Record: Clear criminal record.
- Technology: Own Smart Phone, preferably operating on Android Operating System.
- Availability: Immediately.
- Dismantling and assembling of office desks and workstations.
- Crating and packing of high-value items and artwork.
- Dismantling, assembling and transportation of grand pianos.
- Assist with minor woodworking repairs to possible damaged items (advantageous).
- Uphold the work quality of our moving teams.
- Experience in carpentry, woodworking, kitchen installations or office furniture installations will be an added advantage.
- Skills: Truck driving, furniture pack, loading, offloading, assembling, wrapping, packing products and furniture with care to prevent any damage is essential.
- Familiarity with Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria routes will be an added advantage.
- Collaboration: Must be a team player and demonstrate flexibility.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in reading, writing and understanding English.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients.
- Be able to work as a team member.
- Navigation Skills: Must be able to read and understand road maps and operate a GPS effectively.
- Must have sober habits (non-drinkers) with a clean employment history and good contactable references.
