**DEMAND & SUPPLY PLANNER**

**Job purpose**
The Demand and Supply Planner (DSP) will be responsible for providing an optimal demand and supply plan for the finished goods of specific product portfolios. In this role, the DSP builds the interface between the local commercial teams evaluating and creating a meaningful demand signal, translating it to a meaningful supply signal towards the supply sites with the key aim to ensure stock availability of the right products to the right locations. The tasks will include performing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, demand planning / forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, order management / execution, process optimization, KPI reporting and collaboration with commercial teams and suppliers locally and regionally.
**The main duties and responsibilities of the position are**:
- Own the demand forecast incl. statistical baseline forecast, event management, new product introduction / relaunches, external events
- Drive the S&OP process for the assigned portfolio and effectively translate commercial insights and analytics into an accurate demand signal
- Ensure cross-functional alignment on a one number consensus forecast in volume and value
- Manage risks and opportunities to the forecast
- Continuously improve the demand forecast and drive better forecast accuracy (MAPE and Bias)
- Drive improvements of S&OP process and higher maturity of statistical forecasting
- Accountability for local Supply Chain dashboards and KPI’s related to customer and supplier performance
- Act as main contact for E2E Supply Chain and Operations for commercial stakeholders and internal / external suppliers
- Take part in cross-functional projects representing E2E Supply Chain and Operations
- Translate the demand signal into net supply plan on a weekly basis, considering the capacity situation the suppliers, demand variations in the market, customer service levels, inventory constraints and targets
- Analyze internal capacity and develop plan to align supply and demand to meet customer requirements
- Proactively manage supply constraints to minimize the total business impact. Should identify and trigger implementation of long-term solutions to avoid a reoccurrence of any given supply constraint.
- Issue purchase orders and forecast to internal and external manufacturing sites and monitor the On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery of the goods to the final warehouse
- Optimize supply parameters such as lead time, minimum order quantity, production frequency etc. with key stakeholders to improve supply agility and reduce inventory
- Determine stock holding policy (safety stock, etc.) and monitor the adherence for given portfolio
- Constantly reduce slow moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB)
- Work closely with Customer service, Logistics, and customers to optimize customer service levels / fill rates (UFR / OTIF), order management process, reduce distribution costs, costs of goods and non-standard costs
- Monitor and report on performance metrics in areas of quality cost, and delivery in support of the key supplier scorecards and business reviews.
- Support New Product Introductions (NPIs) & relaunches to ensure on time supply availability for launch while maintaining optimal inventor
- Create and maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external manufacturing partners
- Develop and drive event strategies impacting the supply network set up (i.e. production location transfers, reformulation of products, etc.).
- Take part in Supply Chain (Re-) design projects to optimize the end-to-end product and information flow.
- Provide accurate and complete supply planning parameters & purchasing conditions for all SKUs and system maintenance. Ensure master data integrity and correctness.
- Constantly strive to identify improvement initiatives in own portfolio and E2E processes
- Engage in customer collaboration and projects to improve customer centricity and satisfaction
- Develop strong relationships and collaboration with cross-functional team locally and regionally (Sales, Marketing, Finance, QA, Customer Service, Logistics, Plant)
**Qualifications** We’d love to hear from YOU, if you have**:
- Master (preferred) or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Economics, Operations, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Demand or Supply Planning
- Experience in Manufacturing, Procurement or Logistics an asset
- Experience in FMCG, pharmaceutical and/or retail
- Experience in leading and supporting the S&OP process
- Good working knowledge in ERP and Planning systems. SAP R/3, APO and SNP strongly preferred.
- Experienced user of MS Office, especially Excel capabilities are required.
