Orion Real Estate current seeks to employ a skilled and experienced Security & Cleaning Manager in order to provide leadership and expertise in the areas of security, cleaning and occupational health & safety in order to ensure a safe and clean environment for all our clients and employees.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and practices to ensure the safety and security of all our premises, customers, personnel, and assets.
- Manage and supervise a team of security personnel to ensure proper deployment, training, and monitoring of security measures.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Monitor and report on security incidents and provide remedial actions in order to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop and implement cleaning policies, procedures, and practices to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for all our customers and employees.
- Manage and supervise a team of cleaning personnel to ensure proper deployment, training, and monitoring of cleaning activities.
- Conduct regular cleaning inspections and recommend appropriate measures to improve cleaning standards.
- Monitor and report on cleaning activities and provide remedial actions to improve service levels.
- Manage the performance of any third-party contractors providing security and / or other services.
- Review and evaluate any contractor performance against agreed service levels and take appropriate action to address any performance gaps.
- Ensure that contractors comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and manage the security and cleaning budget, ensuring that expenditure is within budgeted levels and all costs are properly controlled.
- Forecast budget requirements and recommend appropriate measures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Liaise with stakeholders to discuss security, cleaning and occupational health & safety concerns and recommend appropriate measures to address them.
- Provide regular updates on security, cleaning and occupational health & safety matters to the Chief Operations Officer and other stakeholders as required.
- Develop, implement, and update comprehensive health & safety policies and procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards and legislation.
- Assess and manage risks and provide recommendations for mitigating hazards and improving safety measures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommended corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops on occupational health and safety topics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and maintain effective communication channels.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to occupational health and safety.
- Participate in audits and inspections conducted by external regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

**Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Requirements**:

- Grade 12 or similar qualification.
- Must be in possession of a valid driver's license and have your own reliable motor vehicle.
- Must have at least a Grade B PSIRA recognised Security Grading Qualification and be registered with PSIRA.
- Must have relevant Occupational Health and Safety qualifications, knowledge and experience with COIDA and Workmens Compensation.
- Must have experience in property soft services.
- Must be computer literate and have good working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365 with Word and Excel at intermediate level.
- A minimum of 5 (five) years' of experience in a similar role with proven track record of managing security, cleaning services and occupational health & safety.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Sound knowledge of relevant security, cleaning and occupational health and safety systems, equipment, procedures, regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Knowledge of budget management and forecasting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications in security, cleaning, or related fields.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
