**Maintenance Fitter - Gouda - Market Related Salary**

The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of machines. Reporting to the Mechanical Departmental Manager you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and related systems and in doing so upheld the production processes of plant.

**Requirements**:
Trade Tested, Red Seal Fitter & Turner

Extensive familiarity with mechanical works with at least four years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter.

Good Mathematical skills

Willing to live & work in a remote area & drive on a dirt road

**Responsibilities**:
Maintains high occupational safety standards (Zero IOD’s).

Upholds high work quality. (Zero internal customer complaints).

Maintains a clean work environment by ensuring the cleaning of work shop facilities and equipment used according to 5S and world class manufacturing principles.

Ensures high operating efficiency. (99 % machine availability).

Prepares short term schedules for machine maintenance to be done.

Ensure that work is performed as per job card and the current schedule.

Monitor the use of materials and equipment to ensure the minimum amount of waste and damage.

Responsible to attend to machines breakdowns.

Modifies machine design to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.

Help where possible with technical queries by giving assistance in solving problems.

Ensure equipment and tools are secure and used correctly.

Assist in the design of mechanical equipment and components of machines to improve production processes.

Ensures a culture of continues improvement in your working area.

Work after hours when necessary.

Willing to study in own time.

Attend to and completion of any task that has been allocated for your attention.
