**Construction**
- Oversee the construction work on an allocated project, coordinating and executing all the construction activities and manage integration between the key staff, labourers and sub-contractors, on a construction site.
- Manage human resources, cost, time and quality compiling all the necessary reports and monitoring tools as and when required.
- Review and comment changes on drawings, site documentation, prior to issuing thereof to subordinates and subcontractors.
- Assist in coordination, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating received documents and making follow-ups and close out RFI'S within stipulated time frame in close collaboration the professional team, and the various sub-contractors.
- Carry out cost control through:

- Budgetary Planning
- Monitoring and evaluating of all expenses using various checking and monitoring tools
- Implementation of a change control system
- Carry out quality control, and project completion phase/schedules to ensure that construction is executed in line with the agreed construction program.
- Ensure that real-time project updates are logged, and the required reporting is concluded and presented timeously
- Deal with variation orders and coordinate with the Contracts Manager for approvals
- Professionally and eloquently liaise with service providers & clients where so required
- Run the ordering system, where applicable, tracking actuals against the estimates.
- Ensures compliance of the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act in liaison with a Construction Safety officer
- Performing an Administrative Function

**Requirements**:

- BTech/ B.Sc degree / Diploma in Building Science, Building Management, or Construction Management, Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- Certificate in Project Management is advantageous
- Registration in Project Management is advantageous
- Project management competency and experience
- Possess the knowledge of estimating, planning and controlling the costs associated with the project, and work closely with the Contracts Manager
- Quality control management
- Project programming
- Reviewing designs and plans
- Reading and generating project plans
- People management
- Understanding of contracts such as GCC/JBCC and NEC
- Customer service and engagement competency
- Comfortable in the use of the Microsoft Suite of products, and (other Project Management software)
- 5-10 years of experience required in general building construction and civil works.
- SACPCMP Registration with (Valid 2023 Certificate)

**Salary**: From R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Greyville, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
