_**Position Overview**:_
- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- Conduct precise surveying and setting out of roadworks, utilizing advanced automated levelling systems such as Leica and Trimble, to ensure accuracy in alignment, levels, and dimensions.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure the smooth execution of roadwork projects.
- Analyse project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine surveying requirements and constraints, leveraging automated levelling systems for enhanced precision.
- Monitor and assess work progress to identify and address potential issues, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior surveyors and construction personnel, emphasizing the effective utilization of automated levelling systems.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of asphalt and layer works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards, with the aid of automated levelling systems.
- Compile and maintain comprehensive records of surveying activities, data, and reports, generated using automated levelling systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or deviations in the roadwork construction process, utilizing automated levelling systems for accurate problem-solving.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in roadwork surveying, including the latest developments in automated levelling systems.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in roadwork surveying, with a focus on asphalt and layer works setting out, and a strong background in using automated levelling systems such as Leica and Trimble.
- Strong proficiency in utilizing automated levelling systems, surveying instruments, GPS equipment, and relevant software (AutoCAD, Leica Infinity, Trimble Business Center, etc.).
- Demonstrated expertise in large roadwork projects, including highways, freeways, and major thoroughfares.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Professional certifications in surveying or related fields are a plus.
