**Location**:
**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Edit and produce compelling, creative video content for YouTube and social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Download and manage source video material independently for editing purposes.
- Assist with writing, researching and creating engaging scripts for YouTube videos and collaborate on brainstorming new video ideas.
- Research and find trending or relevant topics that align with our channel’s focus on tech, programming, and data analytics.
- Craft intriguing and clickable YouTube titles that drive viewership and engagement.
- Design eye-catching thumbnails and ensure creativity in title copywriting that drives engagement.
- Collaborate with the team to develop content that aligns with brand guidelines and channel growth strategies.
- Ensure high-quality output, adhering to brand style and standards while maintaining tight deadlines.
- Work effectively with other team members, providing clear communication and timely updates on project progress.
- Continuously stay updated with video editing trends and techniques that can enhance content quality.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in video editing, with proficiency in software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Must include a portfolio of previous video editing work (please include links).
- Experience with thumbnail design and knowledge of effective copywriting for video titles.
- Strong understanding of YouTube video best practices, including pacing, storytelling, and visual effects.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver results within tight schedules.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; fluency in a local language is a plus.
- Reliable access to WiFi for remote work.
- Owning or managing a personal YouTube channel or social media video page is an advantage.
- Familiarity with content in the tech, programming, and data analytics spaces is a bonus.

**Salary**:
R12,000 - R14,000 per month

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: R12 000,00 - R14 000,00 per month
