Registered Nurse - Theatre Recovery

We are looking for a dedicated Theatre Recovery nurse who will carefully monitor the condition of patients waking up from post-operative anesthesia. You will be responsible for monitoring levels of consciousness, vital signs, and treating post-operative anesthesia medication side effects such as pain or nausea.

Requirements & Expertise:

- Diploma/Degree in General Nursing;
- Registered with SANC;
- Postgraduate Diploma in Perioperative Nursing;
- 3 years of experience in Theatre Recovery.

Key Areas:

- Monitoring post-operative patients' levels of consciousness during anesthesia recovery;
- Measuring and recording patients’ vital signs;
- Closely monitoring patients for signs of anesthesia medication side effects;
- Treating anesthesia-related pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms;
- Collaborating with the medical team on post-operative patient care and facilitating timely specialized interventions;
- Educating patients and their families about post-operative care and answering questions.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: R180,00 - R250,00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

License/Certification:

Ability to Relocate:

- Pretoria, Gauteng: Relocate before starting work (required)
