Production Controller

**REQUIREMENTS**
- South African matric (grade 12) or equivalent
- Tertiary technical qualification (e.g., technical trade such as electrician, mechanic, welder, plumber, millwright, fitter and turner, boilermaker, or draughtsman)
- A qualification in project management would be an advantage
- A diploma or degree in engineering would be an advantage
- Computer literate (Excel, Outlook, and any ERP system)
- Good at administrative tasks
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent planning, coordinating, and organising skills
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical / electronic and piping components
- Ability to adjust planning and react quickly and effectively in a changing environment

**DUTIES**
- Planning of production ahead of time and close coordination of daily production
- Maintain a continual presence on the production floor to monitor work
- Ensure that production floor workers are effectively utilised at all times
- Provide hands-on assistance on the production floor where required
- Enforce discipline on the production floor and conduct multiple daily checks
- Communicate daily and weekly objectives to production floor workers
- Alert the COO of production issues immediately
- Liaise closely with stores
- Compile bills of material for pump conversions and refurbishments
- Create, manage, and close manufacturing orders on computer system
- Check that costs are assigned correctly to manufacturing orders
- Update and close HEAT calls where applicable
- General checks and balances to ensure the matching of computer system and physical
- Ordering of pumps on the online portal (for checking / approval by COO)
- Enforce compliance with company safety guidelines
- Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure all work is carried out to occupational health and safety good practices

**Salary**: Negotiable dependent on experience
