En - Orthopaedic

Our client a private hospital group is looking to employ an EN - Orthopedic to work at their hospital in Cape Town.

**Qualification & Requirements;**
- Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse
- Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Orthopedic
- Private hospital experience would be an advantage
- Basic knowledge of stock control principles
- Sound knowledge of nursing activities and procedures as per Scope of Practice

**Key Areas**
- Deliver basic quality patient care
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, and informing Registered Nurse of any changes with the patient’s condition
- Keeping the patient comfortable, which could involve repositioning the patient and administering pain medications as needed, under direct supervision of a professional nurse
- Monitoring patient’s vital signs
- Provide education, information and emotional support to the patient’s family and caregivers
- Recording all care information concisely, accurately and completely
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned
