Our client in the packaging manufacturing industry requires your experience and skillset as a Machine Operator with strong mathematical and problem solving skills to start ASAP at their plant in Ottery, Cape Town.

**Key Outputs/ Responsibilities Include**:

- Operation of various machines in line with SOP.
- Product quality.
- Achieve production targets.
- Follow safe operating practices when operating machine, by following work instructions.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping in department and area of work.
- Operate machine to target output and waste levels.
- Participate in problem solving techniques to ensure machine efficiencies.
- Ensure all products are produced to specification with mínimal variability, using the Quality Management System.
- Record quality information on prescribed documentations.
- Record production and delay data on prescribed documentation.
- Carries out complex changeovers and set up as per required SOP’s and to the relevant standard and makes ongoing adjustments to optimise machine performance.
- Applies problem-solving techniques to diagnose and correct equipment problems and notifies appropriate person if problem is unresolved.

**Key Competencies**:

- Matric or NQF equivalent.
- In possession of or progress towards a mechanical/setting qualification.
- 2-5 years-experience in a similar role or.
- Good learning potential.
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to work quickly and accurately to meet tight production deadlines.
- Good spatial orientation and the ability to see the outcome while working on the detail.
- Willingness to learn and help others to deliver.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Good hand-eye co-ordination/technical orientation.
- Good performance and attendance record.
- Accountable.
- Self
- motivated.
- Goal oriented.
- Team player.
- Willing to work shifts and overtime.

Please note that you will be employed by us as the agency and assigned to work at the clients premises for the duration of the contract.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: R52,00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
