**Maintain, Plan and Implement Maintenance Priorities**:

- Review of maintenance objectives
- Review of PM processes and improvement
- Planning effectiveness
- Execution (discipline and quality maintenance)
- PM evaluation and commissioning
- Support to maintenance schedule reviews
- CILT support improvement
- Spares management improvement
- Spares availability (on-going management, MRP report and follow up)
- Control of stores (receiving, binning, issuing, counting)
- 5S in stores, lubrication stores, change-parts store and workshops
- Tool management (special tools, maintenance technician tools) through Team Leaders
- Active member of PM and other enabling Pillar teams
- Ensures the integrity and reliability of plant by implementing and effectively administering maintenance systems for all brewing and packaging equipment.
- Establishing and maintaining a robust improvement agenda for all aspects of engineering across site in order to achieve optimum operational opportunities.
- Lead cross functional loss deployment teams for Machine Breakdowns, minor stops and speed restrictions to achieve loss reduction.

**Maintenance**:

- Ensures the equipment and brewery buildings and property are maintained in a high standard and in accordance with building compliance systems by managing relevant contracts and responding to brewery inspections and audits.
- Full implementation of Heineken Asset Care Standard and Monthly reviews of PM schedules for effectiveness

**Budgeting**:

- Ensures capital projects are completed on time and within budget by co-ordinating and planning of work
- Responsible for Repair & Maintenance budget for maintenance department and ensures this is managed according to Heineken standards

**Compliance**:

- Ensures the brewery complies with relevant legislation and regulations by maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and ensuring all surveys and fees are completed and paid on time.
- Ensure delivery of all legislative and H&S requirements to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Brewery full compliance to OHS act 85 of 1993 and its regulations and statutory requirements
- Appointment as GMR 2(7) to assist Brewery GMR 2(1)

**Continuous Improvement in the Management of Maintenance**:

- Tracking of maintenance KPI’s (HeiBI, SAP, Excel)
- Daily: Backlog
- Weekly: Order lead time for repairs and inspections (HeiBI)

Vertical start up (excel PM report)

PM plan OTIF (HeiBI)

Work orders OTIF (Excel PM report)

Quality of RCFA
- Monthly: Technician utilization

Monthly KPI’s

Plant performance analysis (BCS)
- Breakdowns
- Minor stops
- Speed losses
- Production maintenance SLA development and management

**Direct, Develop and Support Personnel**:

- PMS compliance for maintenance group
- Performance management and improvement for maintenance teams
- Discipline of maintenance group
- Time keeping
- Delivery in line with job descriptions (RCFA’s, trend analysis, action closure)
- Sense of urgency and loop closure
- MCRS rigour
- Shift handovers
- Escalation
- Motivation and performance drive
- Forums for interaction
- Teamwork between maintenance teams

**Develop Maintenance Personnel**:

- Identification of training needs and priorities
- Management of PDP’s and ITP’s for maintenance group
- Coaching of Team Leaders on maintenance concept and people management

**Safety, Health and Environment**:

- Management of safety processes in Engineering building
- Monthly toolbox talks by SHE rep
- Safety schedule completion
- Management of lifting equipment and ladders
- Ensure the department operates within company SHE standards and OHS Act, through continued education and training and obtaining the co-operation and commitment of all staff to observe all safety rules, procedures and processes in order to drive zero accident mentality.
