- Pick up and deliver packages to customers across designated routes within the assigned area.
- Review the daily route plan. Plan the route, or follow the prescribed route, using the Google Maps app (re-align, when necessary, based on changes authorised by line manager).
- Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
- Accurately track and document deliveries, including any special instructions or customer requests.
- Assist with fulfillment tasks when required.

**Customer Interaction**:

- Provide friendly, professional service during all customer interactions.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery status, expected arrival times, and any potential delays.
- Handle any customer inquiries or issues promptly and escalate to management as needed.

**Vehicle Maintenance**:

- Ensure the company vehicle is maintained in excellent condition, reporting any maintenance issues or damages immediately.
- Adhering to vehicle maintenance, checklists, servicing within required mileage, and license disk renewal.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices.
- Adhere to all company protocols regarding package handling, delivery verification, and customer privacy.
- Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the safety of self, customers, and packages.

**Reporting and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time logs, mileage, and delivery confirmations.
- Report any delivery issues, accidents, or delays to the Operations Manager promptly.

**Required Qualifications and Skills**:

- Matric/Grade 12
- Valid Driver's license and PDP with a clean record (no endorsements)
- Fluent in English - Written and Oral
- Minimum 5 years driving experience
- Ability to work weekends and overtime, especially during monthly peaks.
- Ability to negotiate and secure collection dates with defaulting customers.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams to evolve processes and drive operational excellence.
- Investigative/problem solving mindset.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong verbal interpersonal communication skills with internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Technically sound ability to understand reporting principles and structures.
- Good understanding of value chain and business processes over multiple systems such as Zendesk, Shopify, Route Planning, Jira and Google G-suite.
