**Job Description**:
**Scope and general purpose of the role**:
Assume responsibility for the development and implementation of demand planning.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**:
**Sales & Operations Planning(S&OP) Process**
- Responsible for coordinating and steering the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process
- Ensure adherence to the outlined processes for S&OP and demand planning
- Conduct root-cause analysis of relevant front-end and back-end supply chain metrics and taking suitable action
- Ensure the completion of action items decided in S&OP meeting

**DEMAND & SUPPLY PLANNING**
- Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organization goals.
- Manage demand planning and management processes for new and existing products..
- Work with sales team, customer input and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy.
- Update customer service team and sales team about product availabilities.
- Maintain inventory levels based on future customer demands.
- Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply.
- Champion and drive supply chain process improvements
- To achieve target inventory turns, material availability & NBI
- Quarterly review of Safety stock so as to mitigate risk in inventory availability
- Monthly / Weekly review of Inventory Health and the management thereof
- Ensure ongoing reduction of slow moving inventory and obsolescence

**SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT**
- Assume day to day management of the supply chain team
- Accountable for daily queries and delivery of output
- Communicate any risks to leadership team

**GROWTH PERFORMANCE INDICATORS**
- Inventory turns
- Material availability
- Forecast accuracy
- Slow moving and absolute material
- Service Matrices (flexibility/Reliability)

**Qualifications**:
**Formal Qualifications**:

- Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Engineering
- Business qualification would be an advantage
- SAPICS or similar courses would be an advantage

**Pre-Requisite Experiences**:

- 5- 8 years working experience within a Supply Chain environment, Preferably in a planning role.
- 3-5 years people management experience
- Demonstrate experience reducing cost or improving efficiency in previous jobs
- Working experience within a multinational is an advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of MRP principles.

**Skills Required**:

- Attention to detail as well as good numeracy skills is essential
- Team player, ability to collaborate across boundaries
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
