Instrumentation Mechanician

RPO Recruitment’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Instrument Mechanician in Gauteng.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct and execute all pre-work and planned task risk assessments ensuring that all relevant safety standards and procedures are adhered to during task execution
- Accountable for the installation and maintenance of all types of Field Instruments relating to fire detection, telephones, cameras, gas detection equipment, analytical measuring equipment, etc.
- Ensure that all planned maintenance, breakdowns and related installation and project tasks are executed according to operational and OEM standards and specifications
- Participate in assessing instrumentation effectiveness and make recommendations on equipment and system improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and performance
- Ensure effective and accurate requisitioning of spares prior to task execution and minimize wastage in managing inventories

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Instrumentation Trade Test Certificate
- 5 years’ experience in Process Control Field Instrumentation
