**Primary Purpose**

Manage the liquid asset portfolio optimally for high yield whilst maintaining other bank regulatory metrics. Ensuring accurate and relevant analysis of the Treasury Balance Sheet and Liquidity to inform business and investment decisions.

**Minimum Requirements**

**REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING**
- Degree in Finance or Similar
- ACI Dealing Certificate (or willingness to complete)
- Good MS Office skills (Excel & Word

**REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE**
- At least 2 years of successful experience in banking, Treasury and Treasury Risk experience preferably

**Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to**:
**FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT**
- Analyse the balance sheet, market activity and monitor market trends to inform investment decisions.
- Book deals accurately and timeously withing cut off times.
- Manage the risks of trading money markets products while considering margins.
- Verify trading activities and transactions of other dealers.
- Keep up to date with interest rate movements and currency fluctuations internationally.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Manage the day-to-day operations with due cognisance of:

- Levels & quality of service delivery as experienced by internal & external stakeholders.
- Responsiveness: Speed of responses, reaction time, going the extra mile, turnaround time
- Degree of customer satisfaction

**OPERTIONAL EXCELLENCE**
- Prepare analysis that goes into packs for committees across the bank.
- Recommend improvements in dashboards, inputs and systems where necessary.
- Complete assigned work efficiently and in an organized manner within an established time frame.
- Complete objectives and see tasks through to the end while taking into consideration current responsibilities and workload.
- Keep records of all work done and can easily provide information required.
- Provide clear and complete commentary on work done and other related matters.
- Contribution to teamwork ensuring accountability, delivery, knowledge sharing and effectiveness of the area.
- Ongoing query management and escalation if necessary

- Strong influencing skills, including building relationships with key stakeholders to drive solutions required.
- Team orientated and self-motivated
- Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise competing priorities and implement plans to deliver against them.
- May oversee junior employees work, to ensure quality output. Use organizational data to derive insights for both the regulator and the business

**DATA MANAGEMENT**
- Assist in dashboard development including exposure reports.
- Maintain records in accordance with financial regulations.
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

**STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT**
- To timeously respond to queries
- Work collaboratively with all departments.
- To timeously meet ad-hoc request of internal and external stakeholders
- Good communicator, written and verbal and able to relay complex issues or improve understanding of key issues

**REPORTING**
- Accurate inputs to different committees i.e ALCO, BCFS
- Performance and other reports that are generated and distributed within established deadlines.
- Prepare reports on money markets for users and managers.

**LEARNING AND GROWTH**
- Take ownership for driving own career development, identify gaps and communicate with line manager.
- Achievement of objectives/milestones set out in the development plan
