**Senior Solar Electrician (Solar/Renewable Energy)**

**Role Overview**

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solar Electrician to join their reputable renewable energy company based in Cape Town. As a Senior Solar Electrician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.

**Job type**: Onsite | Fulltime

**Location**:Cape Town

**Salary**: R 30 000 - 35 000 (gross monthly)

**Requirements**:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Solar ElectricianExperience in installation of Solar PV systemsValid Electrical Wiremans LicenceCertification in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, such as the PV GreenCard or similar recognized training programs.Must be able to sign off City of Cape Town Compliance Certificates onsiteKnowledge of Relevant Regulation, including compliance with the South African National Standards (SANS)Must be able to sign off both single phase and double phase systems.In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components relevant to solar PV installationsProficiency in interpreting electrical diagrams and technical specificationsStrong understanding of safety protocols and industry regulationsExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issuesEffective communication and leadership skillsValid drivers licence

**Responsibilities**:
Install, inspect, and maintain solar PV systems in compliance with industry standards and regulationsConduct system commissioning and testing to ensure optimal performanceDiagnose and resolve electrical issues in solar PV systems, including inverters, batteries, wiring, and componentsLead the installation teams to plan and execute solar PV installationsConduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and longevityKeep accurate records of work performed and report any system abnormalities or safety concernsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team membersRepresent the company brand in an appropriate manner
