Develops safety programs/campaigns that will enhance a positive safety culture among the entire workforce.
- Ensure that the organization maintains its ISO9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications through conducting departmental internal audits and ensuring that all findings are addressed.
- Develops and reviews all risk assessments related to our plants, processes, environment, and safety of employees.
- Coordinates and leads the incident investigations for all plant and customer-related incidents, ensuring that root causes are identified and corrected to prevent recurrence.
- Reports on a monthly basis the company performance in relation to safety, health, environment and quality.
- Responsible for evaluating quality control results on a daily basis and advising the management on QC deviations observed.
- Identifies continuous improvement Projects that enhances the SHEQ performance of the company.
- Implements efficient document control to ensure that only valid documents are utilized across the whole organization.
- Ensures that all applicable occupational hygiene surveys are conducted to safe guard the safety and health of all employees.
- Works with contractors and service providers and maintain the contractor management processes.
- Responsible for ensuring that all legal appointments are in place that the company complies with all relevant SHE regulations.
- Responsible for generating non-conformance findings and reports in the applicable database.
- Ensures that all factory statutory inspections are conducted as prescribed by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Ensures that the man-job specification for all company occupations are reviewed to ensure that they are still relevant/valid for the occupation.
- Schedules the yearly medical surveillance for employees in liaison with the appointed medical services provider and/or Wellness Manager.
- Sources appropriate PPE in line with identified hazards and risks to mitigate the effects of the hazards on the well-being of employees.
- Develops and implements new SHEQ standards based on company requirements.
- Contribute to the AECI Group SHEQ forum by been part of a syndicate group.
- Implementation of Food Safety Management system (FSSC/ISO 22000).

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Relevant tertiary health and safety qualification or equivalent.
- Food industry experience will be advantageous.
- ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 standard implementation is desirable.
- Must be computer literate.
- Knowledge of the OSH Act.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Basic knowledge of a food safety standard such as HACCP and/or FSSC/ISO 22000.
