IT Technician

Teclogix is looking for an initiative-taking, skilled IT Technician

**The role as an IT Technician will entail**:

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components.
- Set up and configure computer hardware and clients IT support.
- Meet with clients to discuss system needs and help troubleshoot any network and software issues experienced.
- Train clients on newly implemented or installed hardware and software systems and fix the software, hardware, and network issues.
- Ensure the client’s software security remains intact
- Run monthly reports to gather security information and provide these reports to the client.
- Oversee installation and maintenance of a company's computing systems.
- Use technical expertise to address any emerging technology difficulties faced by the client while working as a member of the IT team.
- Control, gather, and store information utilizing computers and telecommunications.

**Preferred Skills or education**:

- 2-5 years’ experience as an IT Technician,
- Database development,
- Software installation,
- System troubleshooting,
- Networking Maintenance,
- Familiar with a wide range of operating systems,
- Prepared to go to client sites to conduct daily tasks (Petrol reimbursed).

** Salary is negotiable.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: R6,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durbanville, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- IT Support Technician: 2 years (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (required)
