**Job Advert Summary**:
To assist qualified Boilermaker artisans in response to planned and un-planned work in order to ensure maximum plant availability. Conduct and assist the Boiler workshop which supports maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and installations of equipment as per planned and un-planned workorders. Perform planned and un-planned maintenance activities in a timeous and cost effective manner to the correct standard. Provide feedback to the Foreman on the execution of work for Continuous Improvement and for the enhancement of future planning. Maintain housekeeping standards.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Code 08 driver’s license
- Above ABET Level 4 in Numeracy and Literacy
- N3 will be an advantage
- 3 - 5 years relevant experience mechanical plant and equipment maintenance in a heavy Industrial/Mining environment
- Boilermaker Handyman Competencies

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support the artisan to maintain plant in a cost effective way
- Housekeeping (Equipment, Environment, Tools)
- Task execution and spares planning
- Adhere to Health and Safety standards
- Plant maintenance and ACP execution
- Report non-conformances to superior timeously
- Computer literacy
- Overtime and standby duties
- Participate actively in health, safety and environmental initiatives
- Maintain housekeeping standards in area of responsibility
- Overtime as requested
