Position Title: Machine Press Operator

Reporting To: Production Supervisor

Department Manager: Operations Manager

Primary Purpose of Role: Operating Machines

Primary Objectives: Produce and supply of good quality, at the right cost and within the delivery process. Time keeping and good attendance. Comply to all company standards and procedures.

Formal Education/Training:- N3 Mechanical or higher

Experience and Skills:
- Understanding basic Machine Safety and adherence to regulations- Attention to detail.- Understanding of production procedures and following manufacturing processes- Ability to understand numbers (measurements etc.)

Duties (But not limited to):
- Mixing of Friction Material to manufacture- Mixing machines (Friction Material Industrial mixing machine)- Press Machines. (Computer Operated Machines)- Hot Oven machines (Computer Operated Machines)- Operating in a high-volume environment with expected results to the daily schedule.- Must operate to specific work instruction weighing the material required, mixing and pressing them to the expected requirement.- Operating grinding machines for brake pads and discs

Workplace- Work alternative shifts. Dayshift normal time and Night Shift four nights a week 10hour normal time shifts- Fume environment exposure- The entire Wabtec plant if required by supervision to be moved to other work cells based on work requirement.
