Processing and placement of purchase orders with suppliers
- Maintain supplier master data
- Collaborate with other departments and assist where documents are required on goods delivered/ordered
- Evaluate, monitor and report on supplier performance by recording and measuring incoming material and quality, on time deliveries and service delivery
- Confirm commercial sustainability of vendors/suppliers by vetting and negotiating prices
- Carrying out or regular stock takes and reviews of slow mobbing stocks/spares
- Where necessary, facilitate the recommendations and approvals for new or alternate sources of supply
- Resolve accounts payable queries for supplier invoices
- Raise non-conformances, report and follow-up with supplier’s / service providers
- Assist with on-boarding of new supplier’s / service providers
- Drive B-BBEE strategies in line with Business Goals

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Matric / Grade 12
- Qualification in purchasing or supply chain
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing
- Sap Experience essential
- Comprehensive knowledge of buying
- Good technical knowledge, follow ups, quality orientated, has planning and organizing skills
- Proficient computer skills in MS Word and Excel
