Reports to :Housekeeping Supervisor/ Assistant Executive Housekeeper

**General**

Laundry Attendants often work in busy environments in which stringent guidelines must be followed to ensure that clothing, linens and other items are clean and sanitized to meet quality standards.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Good customer service skills when handling customer and guest requests.
- Physical stamina when remaining stationary for extended periods and moving laundry loads.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks throughout each shift.
- Basic math skills for calculating laundry times and counting change for coin-operated machines.
- Attention to detail when sorting coloured items and handling delicate fabrics.
- Sort all linens and treat stains.
- Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents.
- Take wet, clean items and dry as directed.
- Sort and fold or hang clean dried items.

Skills Requirements:

- Physical strength and the ability to lift to 50 pounds, as well as stand and move around for most of the day.
- Good vision and the ability to notice small stains and imperfections
- Ability to follow directions from managers, as well as follow the washing instructions detailed on individual garments.
- Knowledge of stain treatment in order to utilize the best strategies to remove the stain on each individual article.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bela-Bela, Limpopo: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
