The incumbent will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy, facilitating efficient project execution, and contributing to the overall financial sustainability of Wits Business School. The Senior Finance Officer focuses on financial management and reporting related to projects within the school, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, optimizing resource allocation, and providing financial guidance and accountability to project managers, donors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial administration and reporting.

The incumbent must have a round knowledge of accounts payables, accounts receivables, reconciliations, and payroll functions. The incumbent is expected to perform any additional duties related to the Finance Officer function deemed relevant by the Finance Manager and the School.

**Minimum academic requirements and experience**:
**Required Academic Qualification**:

- BCom Accounting/Finance Postgraduate,

- Master’s in finance and or Accounting will be an added advantage

**Required Years of Work-Related Experience**:

- 5 - 7 years of work-related experience, preferably with some years in university environment

**Knowledge, Skills and Attitude**:

- Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and project financial management.In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and university procurement policies.Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools.Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team and provide effective guidance.
- Thorough understanding of financial processes, control mechanisms, and policy adherence.
