Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our maintenance team at the shopping mall. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment throughout the property to ensure the safety and functionality of all electrical components.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and outlets.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify any issues or potential hazards, and take appropriate action to address them.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform repairs as needed, including replacing faulty components, repairing wiring, and resetting circuit breakers.
- Install and maintain security and emergency lighting systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other members of the maintenance team to schedule repairs and maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Keep accurate records of all electrical work performed, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure that all electrical work is performed in accordance with relevant regulations and codes, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical safety standards.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment and systems, and ensure that they are wired correctly and operating safely.
- Provide guidance and support to other members of the maintenance team on electrical issues and safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Valid electrician's license or certification.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, circuitry, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems quickly and effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, visitors, and staff.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

**Salary**: From R13 500,00 per month
