**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We have an opportunity for an experienced **Facilities Manager** to join our **Development** team. The main purpose of this position is to manage service provider performance and payments and track and analyse data to take effective measures to reduce costs. The incumbent acts as an internal provider of services for managing facilities, repairs and respective internal and external stakeholders. This includes overseeing data control for scheduling, pricing, and maintaining job card data related to maintenance and repairs. The role also involves managing the operational system for facilities across different countries within Hungry Lion. This encompasses tasks like identifying, recruiting, and negotiating terms with service providers.

**DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Financial Management**
- Manage work orders and payments for contractors across various countries.
- Manage the department’s budget in the best interest of the business.
- Process and approve payments relating to maintenance and repairs for stores.

**Data Management and Analysis**
- Analyse data and generate management reports on maintenance expenditures and issues.
- Manage information related to work orders from suppliers.
- Formulate and implement action plans to decrease store maintenance expenses.

**Stakeholder Engagement**
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance and refine the system.
- Communicate professionally with contractors and stores to resolve queries.
- Identify contractors, negotiate terms, monitor performance, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Discontinue contracts with underperforming contractors.

**People Management**
- Conduct regular store visits and engage with store managers to enhance service levels.
- Train store staff regarding maintenance procedures and equipment.
- Develop and improve teams’ understanding of new processes.
- Provide training to contractors for effective system operation.
- Hold regular meetings with senior management to present reports and strategies for reducing maintenance costs.
- Manage the maintenance team to ensure accurate asset recording.
- Attend new store openings and oversee tagging, warranty registration, contractor training, and staff training regarding maintenance.
- Take immediate, decisive action to resolve crisis situations.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Industrial Engineering degree.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role including managerial experience.
- Competent in Google Workspace/MS Office.
- Bilingual (multilingual beneficial).
- Quick-service restaurant (QSR) experience advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence.
