**Overview**
The maintenance manager is responsible for the maintenance of the MMU fleet in South Africa, Eswatini and Lesotho. To ensure the fleet’s availability and safe operation it is supported by a team of mechanics, who are based on site or at workshops sited in Middleburg and Delmas, Mpumalanga, Kathu, Northern Cape, Mokopane, Limpopo and Brits, North-West.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent

**_Qualification / Professional Membership_**
- Registration with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
- 2 years' demonstrated experience in project management

**Experience**
- 3 years demonstrated experience in vehicle maintenance environment (essential)
- 3 years demonstrated experience in the vehicle manufacturing industry (beneficial)
- 2 years’ demonstrated experience in managing a team remotely (beneficial)
- 2 year’s demonstrated experience in planning/scheduling maintenance interventions

**Duties**
- Responsible for monitoring and analysing maintenance records and costs on the vehicle fleet
- Identifying trends in maintenance data, performing root cause analysis and determining corrective actions
- Monitor financial trends in maintenance costs
- Build a successful team which is dedicated to customer satisfaction
- Set and enforce standards for customer service, and receive and address customer complaints
- Supervise, oversee hiring, discipline, promotions and scheduling of employees
- Providing training, coaching, development and motivation for personnel
- Ensure compliance with company and industry policies and procedures
- Improve on, initiate, build and document business processes
- Ensure good work practises are being followed and all technical guidelines are being adhered to within company policy
- Ensure full compliance by all staff with health and safety policies and procedures
