Welding Coordinator

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The main aspects of the RWCs responsibilities in accordance with EN ISO 14731:2019 and ISO 3834 include but are not limited to:
**Role (Generic)**:
Review of technical and contractual requirements.
Sub-contract activities.
Qualification of welding procedures, welders & welding operators.
Development & review of weld procedure specifications.
Equipment suitability, maintenance & calibration.
Production planning.
Selection, suitability and control of materials & welding consumables.
Inspection and testing - before, during & after welding.

**Role (IMA Specific)**:
Understanding and interpreting fabrication engineering drawings - is a must
Being able to qualify welders and welding procedures unsupervised - is a must
Understanding welding symbols is a must
Understanding welding positions - Is a must
Good understanding welding processes - GMAW PULSE/ GTAW / SAW - is a must
Understanding Non-Destructive Testing methods UT/PT/MT/RT - is a must
Good understanding of Stainless Steel
Understanding distortion control and different methods to prevent distortion - Is a must
Calculating deposition rate, consumables needed for tenders - Desirable
Be able to coordinate a team of welders and a welding foreman.
Must be able to solve all problems welding related.
Be ISO 3834 audit ready at all times

**Qualifications Required**:
International Welding Specialist - Desirable
SAIW level 2 - Is a must.
Qualified welder - Desirable
Welding supervisor background - Desirable
10 to 15 years experience in welding and fabrication - Is a must
