Introduction:
A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a positive, energetic and agile data processor to assist the business in its strategy to transition into a digital business using data driven decision making to improve performance. The Company is in the process of implementing custom built ERP software and digital systems and the role of data processor has been created to facilitate the inputting, verifying and reporting on operational data into new software and systems.

Overall responsibility:
The term “data processing” refers to the different steps that need to be taken in order to gather information from various sources within the factory (in various forms including paper based), compile it into a usable format, ensure it meets internal quality requirements and input it into the software as required. We are looking for someone who is efficient and capable with learning a new software system, very comfortable with technology (laptops, tablets, mobile, software), has attention to detail and can be firm in ensuring quality requirements and deadlines are met. This person will grow and develop into a Data Processing Specialist within the manufacturing industry and specifically at the company.

You will be responsible for collecting, capturing, managing and reporting data from various internal and external sources. You will be taught how to analyse that information in order to ensure internal controls are met, policies are followed, and insightful data and reports are created to assist the company in measuring performance and making strategic decisions.

Duties include:

- Collecting and inputting of various external and internal documents (including but not limited to job cards, delivery notes, goods received notes, invoices, statements and reports from various departments) into the company ERP system
- Raw materials, work in progress and finished goods stock takes
- Manufacturing data processing, including but not limited to Production Waste, Product Failure Points, Technical and Process Improvement, Efficiency Improvement.
- Stores Data processing.
- Processing data for statistical analysis, reporting, and other business needs.
- Maintaining databases by creating new records or updating existing ones.
- Auditing data and system inputs for accuracy and ensuring that it is consistent with corporate policies.
- Informing relevant parties regarding error encountered.
- Storing hard copies of data in an organized manner to optimize retrieval.
- Creating spreadsheets or other documents using data from internal or external sources.
- Correcting errors in data records to ensure accuracy.
- Researching and resolving issues related to data processing problems.
- Ability to take on additional tasks within the team as needed.

- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Relevant work experience
- Basic understanding of databases.
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware.
- Fast typing skills.

- GSuite experience.
- Manufacturing experience

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
