**Technical Draughtsman**

**Epping - Cape Town**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R13,000.00 - R18,000.00 per month

New position within the steel industry reporting to the Operations Manager based in Epping

**Duties**:

- To do all drawing work required by the company for the purpose of assisting sales.
- To carry out the draughting and nesting of jobs in order to process the work through the Service Centre.
- To carry out the programming of the CNC profiling machines.
- To liaise with and plan the work flow through the department in conjunction with the Service Centre Planner.
- To liaise with customers only with regards to profiling contracts (technical and progress).
- To perform the necessary functions for transferring stock into the service centre.
- To maintain the configuration control of all drawings issued to the Service Centre for processing.
- To record and keep track of all job cards issued into the Service Centre.
- To endeavour to optimise material usage in all nesting situations.

**Requirements**:

- Matriculation certificate or qualification/Certification
- Sound knowledge of steel with minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- AutoCAD or SigmaNest training.
- To read and recreate drawings issued by customers
- To create templates from customer samples
- To develop drawings and calculate cut sizes.
