**Job Title: Quality Analyst (Spore Selection and Yield Specialist)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive analyses of spore samples to assess viability, purity, and genetic stability.
- Develop and implement protocols for spore selection based on desired traits, such as germination rate, growth characteristics, and resistance to environmental stressors.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to identify and isolate high-performing spore strains for cultivation.
- Optimize spore propagation techniques to enhance yield and consistency across production batches.
- Monitor and evaluate environmental conditions, substrate composition, and cultural practices to maximize spore yield and quality.
- Perform statistical analyses and data interpretation to identify trends, correlations, and factors influencing spore production.
- Develop quality control procedures and standards to ensure consistency and reproducibility in spore-based products.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of spore production facilities to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to spore germination, colonization, and fruiting to improve overall productivity.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and best practices to stakeholders across the organization.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Mycology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality analysis and optimization of spore-based production processes, preferably in a commercial or research setting.
- In-depth knowledge of spore biology, genetics, and cultivation techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical methods for data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain meticulous records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and techniques for spore analysis and cultivation.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of mycology and microbiology.

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Experience with molecular biology techniques for genetic analysis of spore strains.
- Certification in quality management or quality assurance.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO standards.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and innovations in spore-based production systems.

**Salary**: R15 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
