**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- We are proud to present an opportunity that may set you on a path of success in the legal profession.- In 2023, we will select two deserving students from South Africa who will be granted our bursary. Along with the bursary both bursary recipients will have the incredible opportunity of joining us for a week of immersive work-experience at our vibrant office in Johannesburg during 2024.
- Our bursary awards will be paid directly to the university attended by the successful applicant, in respect of tuition fees for the 2024 academic year only, and are once-off awards (i.e. the recipients will not receive further bursaries from HSF in subsequent years of study). This is a non-exclusive award and applicants and recipients who have received awards from other funders are eligible to apply.**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**

**Eligibility criteria**
Only students who:

- are currently in their 3rd / final year of an undergraduate Bachelor's Degree (for example, Arts, Commerce, Social Sciences) majoring in Law, with an intention to register for a post-graduate Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) in 2024 **or**:

- who will enter their penultimate year of an undergraduate LLB degree in 2024,**Award criteria**

- Academic performance: we value your dedication to your studies.
- Compatibility of the applicant with the values of HSF: show us how your character aligns with what we stand for at HSF.
- Financial need: we understand that financial circumstances can impact your education journey and that is the reason we want to help you.

**Application Process**
- A comprehensive resume/CV. Tell us about your educational background, achievements, and relevant experiences.
- A personal statement (maximum 500 words). We want to hear about your passion for pursuing a career in law and why you believe you deserve this opportunity.
- Official transcripts or academic records: share your academic journey with us by providing transcripts from all of the universities that you have attended or are currently studying at.
