Junior Polyurethane Casting Assistant

**Responsibilities**:

- Material Mixing: Accurately measure and mix polyurethane components according to specified ratios.
- Degassing: Operate vacuum chambers to eliminate air bubbles from resin mixtures, ensuring high-quality casts.
- Casting: Carefully pour mixed material into Molds, paying attention to detail and minimizing the introduction of impurities.
- Curing: Monitor and follow prescribed curing times and conditions to facilitate proper material solidification.
- Demoulding: Skilfully remove castings from Molds while preserving intricate details and finishes.
- Post-Processing: Assist in sanding, trimming, and finishing castings to meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the casting area clean, organized, and well-maintained to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Quality Control: Collaborate with the team to inspect and assess castings for defects, making adjustments as needed.
- Learning and Growth: Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and materials to contribute fresh ideas and skills to the team.

**Desired experience**:

- Matric certificate or equivalent education is required.
- Possession of a valid Code 08 driver's license.
- Eagerness for hands-on work and interest in learning polyurethane casting techniques.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of materials, ratios, and curing processes in polyurethane casting.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Astute experienced with general hand tools.
- Safety-conscious mindset and willingness to adhere to established protocols.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for learning in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication skills and collaborative approach to teamwork.

**Salary**: R7,500.00 - R10,200.00 per month
