**Marine Supplies Buyer - Paarden Eiland - Market related Salary**

Marine Supplies Company seeks an experienced Technical Buyer. MUST have experience in the shipping industry.

Duties are as follows (but not limited):

- Capture data onto Excel spreadsheet
- Capture invoices for both customers & suppliers on Pastel
- Answer calls when necessary
- Quotation of orders (both in the currency of ZAR and USD, sometimes EURO)
- Preparation of orders once quotation is accepted, including ordering stock and liaising with the warehouse
- Admin related to sales and purchasing, i.e. invoicing to clients, booking stock from suppliers, etc.

Skill needed:

- Good Excel skills - have to know simple basic formulas (like sum total, basic maths calculation, and unit conversion)
- Pastel experience or at least has worked on some accounting / POS software
- Having experience in buying or selling will be a bonus
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Can work under pressure. Pressure in our industry as ship chandlers is no joke. Delivery to ships is set on a fixed time and date so there is no room for delay.
- Can work as a team
- NB: need to be able to work every second Saturday from 8:00 - 12:00.

Working hours are 8:00 - 16:30 and every second Saturday from 8:00 - 12:00.
