**What you will enjoy doing**
- Manufacture of new and Repair of refurbish pressure storage vessels with Stainless Steel Inner and Carbon Steel outer, road tanker undercarriages as well as Circuit Cab including Accident damage Road Tankers / Upgrade Road Tankers. (If no drawings are available, using own intuitive)
- Strip and replace damaged sections on road tankers/vessels/equipment as well as General maintenance to factory equipment and building
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and carry out development calculations in forming material into specific forms and assemblies
- Develop jigs and templates for specific operations and have a good understanding of measuring tools and equipment with emphasis on accuracy
- Understand the properties and mechanics of different materials and their related behavior in working with them as well as the different methods for the techniques required when dealing with various thicknesses of metal while performing various functions with regards to pipe fitting and developing
- Carry out welding operations and have a good understanding of the different welding processes such as MIG, TIG and stick and assist with welding of non-critical welding operations as well as use of oxy/acetylene equipment for preparation and manufacture including general gouging to comply to specific needs
- Use of machines e.g. guillotine, press brake, bending/rolling machine and hand or power tools
Prepare and conduct hydrostatic/pneumatic pressure test on pressure vessels and equipment and conduct pre-delivery checks

- Matric
- N3 qualification with a formal apprenticeship
- The incumbent must have 5 - 10 years relevant experience
- Previous experience in manufacture of pressure vessels (preferably Cryogenic pressure vessels) or related experience
- General welding knowledge/experience
- Must be able to read drawings
