Maintenance Foreman

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**Scope of Work** - to ensure maintenance schedules are displayed on all CNC and other machinery, forklifts and vehicles in the factory. Regular preventative maintenance schedules must be implemented on all machines, equipment and plant facilities, with a view to significantly lowering the cost of machinery repair and downtime. An assets register of all machinery, major and equipment must be drawn up and updated. Ensure maintenance is carried out on all machinery according to schedules and assist with repairs when necessary. Further and include all upkeep and maintenance of Buildings on premises including sub-let buildings at Progress Rd and Shongweni. Factory security cameras are all in accurate working order. Maintenance dept/foreman and assistant to assist with showroom/photo shoot and other display setups. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Matric and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
- Must be hands on with manufacturing machinery in the furniture industry
