**Purpose of the Role;**

To maintain, issue, receipt and securely store tools, equipment, stock, and parts for use daily cleaning, laundry, and hygiene services in line with Health, Safety & Environment Standards, and client scope of work.

To maintain both inward and outward stock movement whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of the stores/inventory records including all associated documentation and record keeping for accounting/reporting/auditing purposes.

**Key Areas of Responsibility;**

The following are key areas of responsibility for the Storeman:

- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Company and Client Safety Rules, Health & Safety Legislation and Environmental Standards
- Manage & keep accurate records of all inwards and outwards goods/stocks
- High level stock control and stock management, ensuring no stock outs and / or no overstocking
- Order materials/consumables as required for operations.
- Managing the deliveries and collections.
- Ensure bookings are done prior deliveries and collections with security department.
- Pack the stock/goods/PPE received accordingly at the stores allocated in line with Health, Safety & Environment Standards.
- Check the stock received against the purchase order and sign for them.
- Issue the out the stock/goods/PPE as per site spec requirements and ensure the requisition is signed by you and staff taking/receiving.
- Proper control of stock in line with operations needs
- Perform stock checks and report on stock levels on daily/weekly basis.
- Properly conducting / executing monthly stock takes, ensuring no adverse variances.
- Managing the staff storerooms, to ensure compliance and no overstock has occurred and to foresee that they what is required and MSDS are kept inside.
- Ensure materials and equipment are ready for use of planned operations tasks
- Unpacking deliveries/checking deliveries
- Keep stores clean and tidy (from top to the bottom)
- Ensure security, good housekeeping and safety of stock in the storeroom
- Ensure all tool/equipment are tested for safe to use and are tagged on monthly basis.
- Develop a relationship with suppliers and source best price
- Develop asset register to records tools and cost.
- Develop tools budget and manage/reduce repair spend/cost.
- Ensure that good health and safety practices are adhered to, especially in the use of machinery, hand tools and chemicals.
- Ensure that visitors/client PPE it’s been laundered, pack neatly and ready to use when in need.
- Ensure PPE is prepared, and name are tagged on cupboards properly whenever we have visitors onsite
- Undertake any other duties as requested by superiors

- Able to work autonomously but also to be able to work as part of a team.
- Able to manage own time effectively.
- Able to take instruction and direction and complete tasks to the highest standard.
- Knowledge of Principles of Chemical Safety.

- Matric
- Computer certificate
- Certificate related to storeroom activities
- HSE (A2 & Legal Liability certificate)
- Driver’s licence
