**Job Title**: Internal Audit Compliance Specialist
**Job Summary**:
The Internal Audit Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulations, policies, and procedures within the organization. This role involves conducting regular audits, assessments, and reviews of various departments and processes to identify potential compliance risks and recommending appropriate corrective actions. The Internal Audit Compliance Specialist will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement and monitor compliance programs, and provide training and guidance to all employees regarding compliance requirements.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Conduct thorough internal audits and compliance assessments across departments and processes to identify compliance risks and issues.
2. Review and analyze policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure they comply with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
4. Collaborate with management to design and implement effective compliance programs, systems, and processes throughout the organization.
5. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of existing compliance programs, policies, and procedures, and recommend necessary updates or improvements.
6. Communicate audit findings and compliance concerns to relevant stakeholders and provide recommendations for corrective actions and risk mitigation.
7. Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance requirements, policies, and procedures to enhance awareness and understanding.
8. Develop, update, and maintain documentation related to compliance programs, policies, procedures, and audits.
9. Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact compliance requirements.
10. Support external audits and inspections by preparing necessary documentation and participating in related activities.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance standards are met during the development and implementation of new systems, processes, or projects.
12. Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive data and information obtained during the compliance audits or investigations.
**Qualifications**:
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (such as Certified Internal Auditor - CIA) would be a plus.
2. Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in internal auditing, compliance, or a related role.
3. Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and compliance standards applicable to the industry and organization.
4. Familiarity with risk management concepts and strategies.
5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify compliance risks, perform root cause analysis, and develop appropriate corrective actions.
6. Detail-oriented and meticulous with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex compliance information to diverse stakeholders.
8. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
9. Proficiency in using audit and compliance management software and tools.
10. Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and initiatives.
11. Ethical behavior and high level of integrity in handling confidential information.
12. Strong organizational and time management skills.
