**Purpose of the job**:

- The purpose of the role is for the incumbent to be involved in the deployment of the commodities strategy.
- Ensure project execution in line with QCDE objectives.
- Support global supplier panel relationship (Supplier workload, negotiation, Specific agreement)

**Requirements**:

- Purchasing (or related field) Diploma/Degree
- Experience in a Sourcing environment
- Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years' sourcing related work experience
- MRP System experience - SAP (analysis and purchase order placement)
- Experience in Rail or Manufacturing Industry would be an advantage
- Stakeholder management experience.

**Internal and External Stakeholders**:
Sourcing local and central teams, Suppliers, Projects team, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Supply-Chain, Quality, Engineering, Economic Development, Legal, Finance, etc.

**Mission**:

- Supplier relationship management:_
- Support global supplier panel relationships
- Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
- Monitor day to day suppliers’ performances and issues
- Management of initial issues before escalation to line manager
- Respect code of ethics and guidelines
- Commodity support on site:_
- Consolidation of commodity needs and inputs to manage supplier delivery performance (OTIF, localization, cost, quality)
- Active participation in the commodity strategy and panel elaboration
- Provide inputs to build differentiation
- Support the Sourcing Manager during project phase
- Represent the commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions.
- Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
- Involvement in projects:_
- Coordinate project with all stakeholders
- Prepare and launch of Request for Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool, ( Altes)
- Lead project negotiations
- Monitor sourcing project QCDE & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development)
- Ensure work package sheet commitment is adhered to
- Follow up on project deliverables
- Risk management:_
- Anticipate new parts and ensure on time procurement
- Identify opportunities that will result in improved productivity, quality, cost, delivery and economic development performances
- lead the negotiations of yearly escalations
- Methods and Tools:_
- Ensure compliance to internal control best practices.
- Support internal and external audits (APSYS, AFNOR, etc.).

**Skills, Knowledge and Experiences**:

- Educational Requirements:_
- Relevant tertiary qualification (sourcing, supply chain, engineering, project management )
- Mandatory Skills:_
- Excel skills required, deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics and analysis
- Attention to detail, Good analytical skills
- Adaptability
- Technical Knowledge / Experience:_
- Minimum 5 years of experience, ideally in Project, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality
- Previous and relevant experience working as a Buyer or Industrial/ Mechanical Engineer
- Global suppliers’ exposure
- Project management experience
