**BRIEF ROLE DESCRIPTION**:
**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)**:

- Develop and implement an effective and comprehensive compliance program, policies, and procedures within the organization.
- Monitor and evaluate the organization's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential compliance risks.
- Oversee and manage all compliance activities, including policies and procedures development, training programs, and internal investigations.
- Provide guidance and support to employees at all levels on compliance-related matters, ensuring awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all compliance-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Keep abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the organization's operations and proactively update compliance programs and policies accordingly.
- Lead and conduct investigations into compliance concerns, incidents, or potential violations, and take appropriate action if necessary.
- Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Legal, Human Resources, and IT, to maintain consistency and alignment in compliance efforts.
- Use of and identification of the appropriate Technology and system

**Role Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Quality / Health & Safety / Environmental Management / Risk Management or a related field.
- SAIOSH or SACMPCP - this is an advantage to be registered
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- At least 5-10 years of experience in compliance management, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
- In-depth understanding of laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks relevant to the organization's operations.
- Strong knowledge of internal control practices and risk management principles.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to oversee and manage a team effectively.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex compliance matters effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Professional certifications in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional) is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of the IMS; Document Management System; ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SAMTRAC or similar
- MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), SAP Knowledge
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Legislations
