**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**|** **About the role**

The credit control manager will be responsible for Managing a Team of Credit Controllers local, SADC and Indian Ocean Islands. As a credit control Manager, part of your role will be to assist the broader finance accounts team as well assist and coach Team Members.
- This role will report to the Group Finance Manager._

**As the Credit Control Manager you will**:

- Preparing journal entries, credit notes and assisting with month end reporting.
- Review and report on Aged Debtors, both local and foreign debtors.
- Regularly meet and negotiate terms with third party debt collection agencies and formulation of the companys credit policy to mitigate unnecessary risk.
- Manage write-offs, bad debt provisions and setting up of payment plans for the Group as well as preparation of statement of claims for liquidators.
- Understand role relevant systems and processes and implement to minimize risk by regularly reviewing the process and procedures.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**|** **About you**

**The ideal Credit Control Manager**:

- Grade 12
- Finance Degree or Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years experience managing a credit control team.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office, with advanced excel skills.
- Experience in the different financial platforms.
- Experience in Overdue & bad debts provisions.
