**The role**:
The role is responsible for the receiving, storing and issuing of sub-assemblies in accordance with Seriti’s subassembly management standards. The role is further responsible to ensure that warehouse housekeeping and storage standards are maintained and that component storage maintenance activities are performed as required.

**The duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Ensure the subassembly store housekeeping is maintained and complies Seriti’s subassembly management standards.
- Cleaning of subassembly stores and ensuring compliance with Environmental Management requirements.
- Loading, offloading and proper storing of components.
- Ensuring storage practices are in line with component requirements.
- Ensure proper record keeping and tagging of subassemblies.
- Perform weekly and monthly stock takes to verify the accuracy of all stock on hand vs systems.
- Performs required preservation activities on stored components as required - basic activities such as cleaning, wiping down of oil leaks, turning of motor shafts etc.
- Attend and participate in HSEC meetings.
- Tasks and responsibilities as determined by the specific operation and or section.
- Supports the collection and dispatch of repairable items to suppliers for repair, overall, return or disposal.
- Supports the return of unused materials after inspection.

**You will need**:

- Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science **or** Technical N3
- 3 years relevant experience
- Detailed knowledge of warehouse processes
- Knowledge of Seriti Operational and Engineering Codes of Practices, policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures
- Knowledge of the equipment types and the duty they must perform
- Communications skills, fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Forklift license
- LDV license
- Overhead Crane license
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid Certificate of Fitness or able to obtain

**Advantageous**:

- Coal mining, industrial or construction industry experience
