Maintenance Foreman

**Job Advert Summary**:
**Rainbow **is seeking to employ an experienced and skilled **Maintenance Foreman**. This position will provide hands on expertise and leadership of the Effluent operators and Engineering Staff, ensuring the proactive quality, maintenance and repair of the water treatment plant and Rendering Plant. The role will be based at our Rendering plant in **Rustenburg** and report to the Processing Manager

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Qualified Mechanical Artisan with at least a National Technical Diploma or other relevant diploma (NTS 6).
- Experience in water treatment and chemicals will be advantages.
- Previous Foreman Experience will be advantages
- Understanding of Water Treatment plants, their components and mechanical operation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership**
- Management of the Effluent plant operators and Engineering Staff
- Management of the day to day activities and out puts of all team members across 3 shifts.
- Train and mentor his/her team to improve performance and reduce down time.
- Be available on call out and work on weekends or when necessary to ensure optimal performance of team and effective maintenance of equipment.

**Budgets and Administration**
- Lease with plant manager and provide constructive feedback as to the working of the Effluent and Rendering Plant.
- Cost down approach to chemical usage.
- Ensure daily check sheets and log sheets are completed and handed in.
- Manage intake and offtake to /from the Waste to Value plant.
- Communicate with the Waste to Value plant to ensure best result and avoid any penalties.
- Report back to management on performance of the Effluent Plant.

**Planned Maintenance**
- Utilize skill matrix to assess the applicability of assignments based on individual skill sets.
- Planning and management of all planned maintenance, preventative schedules, work requests, in conjunction with the inputs received from the Plant Engineer.
- Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used and ensure that these are ordered and available at the work site, in conjunction with the input of Plant Engineer.
- Plan and manage weekend mechanical maintenance tasks and cleaning based on the priority listing from the Plant Engineer.
- Uses planned maintenance schedules to co-ordinates daily activities of machine operators.

**Repairs and Renovations**
- Coordinates renovations of existing equipment.
