**PROJECT MANAGER**

We are seeking a highly skilled, Project Manager to join our team in Hillcrest KZN South Africa.

The company has offices in Hillcrest, South Africa and Dar Es Salaam Tanzania.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**PROJECT MANAGEMENT**
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to project milestones and deliverables.
- Utilize appropriate project management tools and skills to track and document project activities effectively.
- Lead project meetings, reviews and evaluations to track project performance
- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure compliance with ALL regulations and company standards throughout project lifecycle.

**TEAM SUPERVISION.**
- Lead and guide project teams, providing direction and support throughout project execution.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their strengths and expertise.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment to enhance project performance.
- Conduct regular team meeting to ensure alignment and progress towards project goals.

**STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT**
- Engage effectively with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and community members, to understand their requirements and expectations.
- Communicate project updates, progress reports and challenges to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
- Address stakeholder concerns and seek feedback to improve project outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success and sustainability.

**MONITORING AND EVALUATION.**
- Work with Project data manages and analysis to establish monitoring mechanisms to track project indications and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular project evaluations to assess progress, impact and effectiveness
- Analyse data collected during monitoring and evaluation processes to inform decision-making.
- Implement changes and improvements based on evaluation findings to optimize project outcomes.

**FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT**
- Develop project budgets in collaboration with finance team and project stakeholders
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficient resource utilization strategies.
- Prepare financial reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

**REPORTING**
- Prepare regular project reports in line with client expectations and requirements
- Present project updates and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure that project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, correctly filed in accordance with company procedures and policies and accessible for review at all times.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Agriculture Business, Project Management or related field.
- Proven experience at least 10 years as a Project Manager, preferably in consulting projects involving agriculture, agribusiness, rural development and/or livelihood restoration.
- Strong and demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey findings to non-technical stakeholders, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure effectively.
- Knowledge of agriculture practices and livelihood restoration initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for leveraging data to drive positive impact.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and deliver presentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Professionalism, integrity and a strong commitment to promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel into Africa on a regular basis.
