Welder

**Job Advert Summary**:
To facilitate the cost effective and timeous production of specials to the required time, quality standards, cost constraints and customer satisfaction, as well as maintaining ISO 9001:2015 series quality system and production.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 or equivalentc
- 5 years working experience
- Welding Trade Test certificate
- Ability to perform physical labour

**Primary Duties**:

- Production by welding pipes and pipe specials by manual arc welding, submerged-arc, TIG, CO² and
gas welding. (longitudinally and circumferentially)
- Welding of pipes and pipe specials to standards, required Rand Water standards and to pass NDT
tests to the target of 98%.
- Conduct mini-risk assessments
- Compliance with OHS Act.
- Manage compliance with environmental legislation.
- Recording of data related to the article/s being worked on e.g. Job numbers, time taken, length of welds
deposited etc.
