**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Compiling, analysis, adaptation, standardisation and maintenance of menus and liaising with various Stakeholders.
- Ensure correct preparation and service of food to Customers
- Training of chefs on correct preparation, portioning, quality, presentation and service of meals.
- Monitoring of hygiene standards within various units, including implementation of standards and internal audits
- Training of managers and other personnel on basic hygiene standards
- Give input and assist regional dietician with dietetic and hygiene standards within the company, when required
- Assist with continual improvement and review of current hygiene policies & procedures
- Talks, presentations and newsletters on health topics in the Unit
- Maintenance of quality standards of all meals served to Customers
- Assisting with wellness days and health promotions throughout the year, including developing new material, innovations and hand-outs.
- Ability to be creative and innovative
- Stay abreast with food trends
- Carry out orientation and induction on new employees and ensure continuous on the job training.
- Responsible for staff discipline and ensuring that staff follow Company policies and procedures.
- To attend symposiums and meetings, allocate time for the reading of journals in order to be informed of the latest developments in the nutritional field, whereby both the client and the company can be assured of a service relating to current trends.

**Skills and Competencies**:
Excellent client relations

Previous experience in the food service industry essential.

Interpersonal Skills: Client/customer interface, managing group process, communication skills (verbal and written) & organizational skills

**Qualifications**:
BSC Dietetics or post graduate diploma in Dietetics or equivalent with previous experience working in a unionized environment.

Code 08 license with own transport.
