Scales Technician

**Job Advert Summary**:
Rainbow Chickens is looking for a self driven and experienced Scales Technician to join our Engineering Team. The Scales Technician will be responsible for proper maintenance on PLC's and Instrumentation equipment. Experience in the Poultry environment would be an added advantage

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Minimum qualification N5 - Electronics
- Computer literacy
- Weighing Systems and Scales
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role
- Experience in poultry industry advantageous
- Working knowledge of PLC’s, sensors, VLT’s etc

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining and repairs of computer weight grading & shop floor systems
- Maintaining and repairing of shop floor systems
- Maintenance on instrumentation and PLC equipment
- Programming of PLC’s
- Maintenance of all electronic mass meters at the Processing Plant.
- Liaison with customers regarding sourcing of equipment and quotations
- Staying abreast of new developments in field.
