- Job Description
- Sets daily, weekly and monthly ventilation and occupational hygiene routine schedules
- Determines the need for, and assists in the development of ventilation and occupational hygiene procedures and standards
- Advises on changes to plans and schedules to minimise the effect of unexpected or unsafe work practices
- Stops the operation if the working conditions are unsafe/unhealthy
- Interpret and act on ventilation and occupational hygiene related legislation
- Qualifications
- Matric
- Practical Mine Environmental Control OR
- W201 Basic Principles in Occupational Hygiene (BOHS) OR
- Registration as an Occupational Hygiene Assistant with SAIOH

**Advantageous**:

- Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Hygiene, Physiology or Environmental Health
